"Typical" for a virgo woman, hmmm.
Virgos have been known to express either or both sides of the sign.
For instance, being either very neat or very sloppy, very well organized or disorganized, critical or non-discerning,
Generally make good seamstresses or tailors. Good teachers, writers, astrologers, etc.
Because of virgo's ability to see details accutely, they may be hyper-critical and/or carping. You'd make an excellent researcher as well.
Please bear in mind that these above are only based on the one sign of virgo. Without having seen your particular birth chart, all of these are general traits of virgo undiluted by all the other signs and their placement in your chart.
Hope this helps.

You've gotten a lot of good answers for Typical.
If you want your own specific chart(s) I highly recommend Astro.com. It is highly accurate.
Takes some cash;but, reasonable.
My sister is a Virgo & some of the answers fit her to a tee.
I am an Aquarian.
Usually--they DON'T MIX.
So, stay away from Aquarians if you can.
If any family members are, research & try to be the one who can tone down the more neg. aspects. Aquarians really are appreciative; and, the relationship will run more smoothly.
Usually the toning down has to come from us; but, Virgos have a LOT of good qualities (as the answers tell you) and make great leaders and decision makers.

Perfectionist. If it doesn't go perfectly it doesn't go at all. If you can't do it perfectly then don't do it at all.
Example: If that picture doesn't look perfect on that wall then it goes in the closet. The best way to drive a Virgo crazy is to tilt the pictures on the wall or wear stripes with polka dots.
If everything is perfect you'll never see better organization

Virgo is an astrological sign, which is associated with the constellation Virgo. Under the tropical zodiac, Virgo is occupied by the Sun from August 23 to September 22, and under the sidereal zodiac, it is currently from September 17 to October 17. The opposite sign to Virgo is Pisces.
Virgo is the sixth sign of the Zodiac and associated with purity and service. Individuals born under this sign are thought to have a diligent, analytical, self-sufficient, controlled, orderly, modest, and intellectual character, but one which is also prone to fussiness, perfectionism, harsh criticism, coldness, and hypochondria. In terms of anatomy, Virgo is said to rule the abdominal region, large and small intestines, spleen, solar plexus, lower lobes of the liver, pancreas, portal veins, umbilicus, hands, nails, and carpal bones. In terms of geography Virgo is linked with Turkey, Greece, Brazil, Uruguay and the Caribbean. According to some astrologers Virgo is a barren sign.
Virgo is traditionally thought to be ruled by the planet Mercury. However, during the late nineteenth-century and early twentieth-century it was speculated in certain astrological circles that the planet Vulcan, thought to be located near Mercury, was the true planetary ruler of Virgo. Today, some astrologers believe that the dwarf planets Sedna and Eris are or will be the planetary rulers/co-rulers of Virgo. Many astrologers who study the powerful asteroid Chiron, known as "the wounded healer", believe it has the best claim upon the rulership of Virgo. Currently, the vast majority of astrologers still think of Mercury as the planetary ruler of this sign.
Physically, individuals born under the sign of Virgo supposedly tend to have a graceful figure, a roundish head, full and delicately shaped lips, perfect teeth, a clear complexion, large and clear eyes, small, symmetrical, and refined features, a high forehead, a thin nose, coarsely textured hair, and thin eyebrows. They are thought to usually be of slightly above average height.
According to one interpretation, the Virgo constellation depicts Astraea, the virgin daughter of the god Zeus and the goddess Themis. Astraea was known as the goddess of justice, and was identified as this constellation due to the presence of the scales of justice (Libra) nearby, and supposedly ruled the world with her wise ways until mankind became so callous she returned to skies, disgusted.
In mythology Virgo is often associated with the mythological figure of Omphale, Queen of Lydia, from the myth of Heracles. Virgo is also associated with the Greco-Roman god Hermes/Mercury and sometimes the goddesses Athena/Minerva, Demeter/Ceres, Astraea, Eris/Discordia, Ate and Hestia/Vesta and the gods Hephaestus/Vulcan, Loki, Asklepios/Aesculapius and Veles.

Being a Virgo myself, I'm always wanting to know more about the star sign, important dates, when will love come my way, where will my job take me etc. So every year I go out and buy one of the little books - Your 2007 Horoscope. This year I got DADHICHI book cost about $4. He also has two web sites www.astrology.com.au and www.facereader.com. So many things I read in the book so far is so interesting and so true to me, it's quite eerie. Like the traditional view of a Virgo. People expect us to be quite humble but Virgo's like me have many sides. You could say I'm quite shy and reserved but I can surprise everyone by doing something so out of character that it actually surprises them. Like I packed up my bags and headed up to Hamilton Island to work. I was quite reserved about the situation but thought I'd give it go. Everyone thought I wouldn't last up there, but I lasted 6 months and what a fantastic 6 months it was. It's something that I will treasure for ever. But I still tend to analyse everything from my work, love etc. Who doesn't but we do it in style. We are pure of heart and have an unusual sense of beauty. We are all woman. As our Key Life Phrase says " I serve". We love to look after people from it being at work or family and friends. Go out and read one of these books it'll enlighten you as it has me.

You have a hard working, dedicated personality that wants perfection in all you do. You are a loyal friend who is very considerate of other people's feelings. Because you are very organized, you make the perfect party planner! You love reading books and magazines on a regular basis. Cleanliness and a healthy lifestyle are important to you.
Since you want to be perfect in all you do, you are often very hard on yourself and never happy with anything you are working on. This can make you cranky and irritable, nervous and worried. Listen to your friends when they tell you you've done a great job!
