I too suffer from bad credit and, after searching all the networks in a couple of stores, I learned that the best 2 to go for are Orange and T-Mobile. T-Mobile did turn me down though, whereas Orange accepted me.

I'd give them a try. If you go into a store like Carphone Warehouse (where I went to), they will usually try all the companies in one go to see if they'll accept you. After all, being an independant retailer, they'd rather get you on a contract so that they can get their commission ;-)

If you do go into a store though, I'd recommend you ask them to try Orange first, then T-Mobile as, repeated credit searches which are declined can sometimes set alarm bells ringing with other companies when applying for credit.

Failing that, Superdrug had a fantastic offer on Pay as you go. If you spent something like £5 instore, and spent £30 on a top-up voucher, you got a free "Three" pay as you go phone. Not sure what the phone's like but might be worth investigating :-)

Hope you get sorted

Me and my husband both had bad credit ratings (i really don't know why though). We went to our local o2 shop about 2 years ago as my hubby wanted a new phone and as he'd been refused any other credit in the past he tried to get the phone in my name, surprisingly it worked. Last year we went back to get an upgrade and they had some other offer on and he tried getting it in his name this time, it also went through. So we both now have contracts on o2 when we thought we wouldn't be able to.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

i wouldnt rule it out, i work for a mobile phone retailer and we get people in all the time who have bad credit and dont think they can get a phone and they pass
easiest ones to pass with are t mobile, 3, and virgin
orange are very stringent so are o2
so dont put it past yourself until you have tried, if u get turned down then so be it but try it first!!
you never know til u try

i dont know how it works in the uk, but where i work it is possible. however there may be a deposit of up to 300euro you will be asked to pay when you sign up. this gets credited back to your bills after six months.
hope that helps

yes you can just go to one of the small shops and tell them about your credit and they will sort you out.
