Or do people just make it seem dangerous ?
If a professional pierces it then what can go wrong ?

It doesn't have alot to do with the piercer, but more to do with the bacteria level in your mouth. No matter how clean you keep it, some people will always have problems with infection.
Personally, its not worth the chipped teeth, risk of infection and the way it permanently impairs some people's abiltity to speak.
And I LIKE body art- I have 9 tattoos.
Just think hard about and and decide for yourself if the risk is worth it. I do know people who have no problems with it too.

Oh its dangerous. If the wrong muscle is hit you can die. Anything can go wrong thats why its good to let a professional do it. They were trained where to stick and all that good stuff. Infections, death, not being able to pronounce your words right which can be a detriment to you getting a well paying job, Sterotypes(they say women with toungue piercing give head, ho-ish). LMFAO WHAT CANT GO WRONG!

ur tongue swells up for 2 weeks, u cant talk n u gotta eat soup n stuff... but u gotta make sure u get it done by the professionals. cuz ur tongue might bruse up. or if u do it wrong 1/2 your face may get paralyzed. so yeah it kind of is dangerous.

It could get infected and if it is pierced on a nerve or in the wrong spot, you could lose your sense of taste permanately. Plus it's just plain ugly.

not to my knowledge l pierced my tongue and so did my three cousin and my sister. I think who ever told it was dangerous probably was Ur parents or someone who doesn't want u to get it.
in my pinion if u really want it go right ahead

well, its gonna be permanent&like it depends on the person if they really want their tongue pierced. sum ppl mite think its dangerous, but it depends on u.
