I don't see how we can still believe that we came from monkeys. Why is it still not happening? I do believe that over time animals do change.

The theory of evolution has become more complete and more and more strongly supported in the 150 yrs since Darwin proposed it. The fossil record is more complete than it was. We have all of the molecular evidence (protein and DNA sequences) that he didn't have. With respect to humans, Darwin suggested that we are evolutionarily related to other organisms...That hasn't changed. The molecular evidence has made much stronger the idea that chimpanzees are our closest living relative (NOT that we descended from monkeys, but that we and chimps shared a common ancestor more recently than we and any other organism). This is supported by both molecular and fossil evidence.

It has changed, well I suppose, by the introduction of DNA, and genetics.
