I have never operated the stove. The plate on the stove says "no. 13207, Standard Gas Equipment Corp., New York, Baltimore, Chicago, A216, TC1. The backboard says Vulcan. Its cream colored with green trim and has three doors and one small pull out at the bottom.

The restoration of vintage appliances, including gas stoves, is a very active business in the USA. Many people like the old time look of them and many others believe the quality was superior to today's offerings. Many of the companies that do this type of work perform it on a fee basis and most will buy your stove outright. They will either use it for parts or restore it to it's former glory and offer it for sale.

There are lots of websites where you can get an idea as to the value of your stove. There are also lots of sites that will buy your stove. A Yahoo search for "vintage gas stoves" (include the quotation marks in the Yahoo search box) yields 1,050 results. Just the first page of ten results will take you to sites that offer all of the information you need. A couple of the sites have reader forums where you can post questions to vintage stove experts and enthusiasts. I'm guessing you will quickly find all of the information you are after if you are willing to spend a few minutes exploring.

Good luck with your vintage stove project.
