So....it's a year to the day that I broke up with my ex-fiance.
I NEVER believed I would stop hurting, so I'm both happy and relieved to be typing this right now.
I just want people to know that you CAN break free from a loveless relationship because your broken heart WILL heal in time. I am proud of the fact that I haven't slept with him or been back to him since I broke it off, despite his constant calls and texts.
When you fall out of love with someone, or you know it will never work between you, you MUST sever all ties. The "friends" thing just doesn't work. I still miss him sometimes, but I definitely did the right thing for both of us, though it hurt like hell. It took so much courage to make the break after so long, but you should never stay with someone if your heart's not in it.
I got involved with another guy a few months ago and ended up being his "rebound girl" which wasn't nice, but you live and learn.
I'm looking forward to a new chapter in my life!!

FAO: The Angel1025 - Your arrogance and ignorance makes me laugh. For your information, I am 28 years old and not at all overweight. My ex and I were engaged for the last 4 years of our relationship.
I have shared my story in a bid to help other people realise that they can and should break free from a relationship if they are unhappy, however long they've been with their partner. I hope that my positive words will help others in the same situation.
You obviously have a lot of growing up to do, judging by your pointless, immature post. Why waste your time?

Congratulations, keep thinking positive & having fun, the best way to find happiness with someone new is not to look for it.
I ended a 3 year relationship in June 2005 & was quite happy doing my own thing til my new guy breezed into my life in May 2006, I am so pleased that I gave myself some space & it paid off.

Well they say women do rebound more quickly after and suffer more during a relationship. It sounds almost like you've answered your own question here. I'm sure there are plenty of other guys on your (I hear beautiful) island who deserve a great girl. Don't worry. Keep that chin up!

i too was some ones rebound last year, took me a while to realise and when i did i managed to walk away, was the hardest thing ive ever had to do!!didnt think id ever be able to smile again but i finally am!!!
