For those that are interested in the responses I posted a question in the religious section asking the Christians what they would do if our way of thinking was wrong. Can't wait for the responses

Well said.

Some religious people actually suffer from a clinically-diagnosable condition, which compels them to convert other people.

These people are unable to focus on themselves, and upon their own business, and have an obsessive-compulsvie disorder which drives them to harass other people.

Nonehteless, having this medical/phsychological disorder does not excuse these poor, sick religious people from responsibility for the suffering they cause.

It's the responsibility of these compulsive religious people to seek professional help. We can only pity them, and thank God that we don't suffer from their devastating illness.

I have to agree. I was raised Christian, and all of my friends, both straight and gay, are Christian. Never did I learn in church/Sunday school that it was OK to pass judgment on others and preach hatred and intolerance. I always learned that Christianity was about love and acceptance, and that God created and loves us all.
The true abominations are those that claim to be Christian, but "use" the Bible (out of context) to justify their bigotry. Hating in the name of God...THAT is a sin!

Good Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was taught that GOD loves EV-VERY-BOD-DY and not just a select few (bible thumpers and people that grace the steps of a church every time the doors open). And also people need to remember that God IS THE ONE THAT MADE THEM THE WAY THAT THEY ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So "Christians" wake up it is a NEW age and keep your ideas of being gay is "a mortal sin" in the century where they belong -- the 15th century! and also gays, bi s and trans are Mortal so guess what they are no better than you are even though I know you think that you are because you go to church and can and DO quote the bible. I have a quote from the bible for you even though I don't know where it is: 'JUDGE LEAST THEE BE JUDGED' meaning don't tell people who are different that they are sinners!

The real abomination is the inabilty of any of these Christian nut cases to have an open enough mind to consider that there may be any different answers. A closed mind is an ignorant mind. They seem to have the monopoly on closed minds.

well I am not gay, but my son is. Live and let live, I say. WTF cant people just accept each other for who they are and live in peace? Age old question, I know, but still true. I get talked down to for being a vegetarian for petes sake! LOL ignorant people should be allowed to mingle among us more enlightened ppl, huh!?! Like you said, I am not going to lose sleep over what some insignifigant shi@ thinks about my lifestyle. Love yourself for who you are, not what you are! SMOOOOCH, and I did NOT mean that snidely! lol

right on sister. i suppose that it just goads us to have to deal with it on OUR forum. 90% of the negative people would NEVER have the balls to say the things that they write here to our face. On the other hand, 90% of US would not hestitate to tell ANYONE to their face what we think of their views.

Wasn't it donna Summer that said...."I will Survive" no wonder it's out anthem. We're strong.
Best wishes to all. Rob

"Those Christian nut cases" that you describe, are not trying to mix into anyone's business, but they do have love and concern for everyone. That's the way they are taught. If you consider that an abomination, I'd suggest you just not read those answers. Those people are trying to do good and follow the teachings of Christ. But they are not offended by people like you because nobody listened to Jesus either, when he walked the earth. Good Christians are used to being rebuffed and ridiculed. As Jesus did, they turn the other cheek.
