my little sister is doing a report on this for her 3rd grade class and is finding difficulties answering this question.

The Cahuilla used the most convenient form of transportation available...their feet. There were no native animals suitable for transportation before horses and the sandy desert and rocky mountains made such things as wagons, travois, etc. very impractical.
