Indianapolis is the number 3 seed in the AFC, and yet they are favored by 7 (as of Sunday, 1/28) over the number 1 seed in the NFC, Chicago. Does this seem surprising to anyone, and what do you think the outcome will be?

Given how famous Peyton is, I am surprised the margin is not even higher.

But, Grossman is returning to Florida, where he played amazingly well while in college. Put this guy back in some warm weather, and maybe he rekindles what he showed in college.

And remember, the Colts have advanced despite Peyton playing rather poorly in the playoffs.

Very interesting QB storyline.

And the Colts will be playing on a real grass field for the first time in a while.

Going into the playoffs, there weren't many experts that expected an NFC team to win the Super Bowl. The general consensious was that the Chargers, Ravens, Colts, and Patriots were ALL better than any team in the NFC, including the Bears, Saints, and super bowl runner up Seahawks.

After the Colts beat the Ravens (mentioned as similar to the Bears, and they are) and the Pats, I don't think there is any way for the Bears to win. The Colts haven't allowed a 100 yard rushing game in the playoffs, and given that Rex Grossman was, statistically, one of the worst starting QBs this season, let alone the playoffs, the Bears won't move the ball.

Grossman and Manning led the NFL with 7 games each with QB ratings higher than 100. But Grossman had the most sub-50 games this season with 5. His up and down play this season is the main reason they will lose, because the Colts run defense has stepped up so much this year.

Not at all surprised. This just shows how dominant the AFC is over the NFC. I think the Colts will win by at least 10.

I'm not surprised, and this is why: the Colts already beat the Ravens.

Compare the Ravens to the Bears. They're VERY similar in playing style, but the Ravens are a better team. Their defense is better, and their offense is more stable. I don't think the Bears will beat the Colts, but anything is possible.

No, I'm not surprised at all that the Bears are being named as the underdogs in the Superbowl. Pretty much everyone picked the Saints over the Bears and the Bears totally destroyed the Saints. It will just drive the Bears even more.

p.s. Go Bears!!!!

Rob has the right idea. The Colts have the better QB but the Bears have the better defense. It'll be a good game, for sure.

Go Indy!
