What kind of disc do I need for it to play on DVD Player

You can use a CD, but you have to make sure it's formatted to be a video disc, and make sure your DVD player can play video discs. If it's just a data disc, it won't play, it had to be formatted. But say it were just the music, like a normal music CD, it should play.

Please do not burn the CD with free software that Microsoft give to you free

You can only use that CD/DVD with the same PC, the PC that burn it, that's all (this is to protect copyright law)

If you use Nero or whaeever, the resulting CD and DVD ca be played anywhere, in PC and DVD player

There is a catch. Some older DVD and CD player may not be able to read computer CD/DVD, the newer has no problem
