i know walcott is a growing player and needs to feature in more matches but he is still really inexperienced and not suitable to play in top-class matches. its all right for him to play in the league cup but putting him against bolton in the fa cup is too much. he misses a lot of opportunities and loses possession of the ball easily. he needs to develop and although he is good for his age, wenger should think twice before putting him in the starting line up.

I agree. I was surprised he was in there. He did show good quickness in short spurts. If he can learn to play like that all the time, he might be unstoppable. He was invisible most of the game. He was outclassed. I hope it's a learning experience for him. His time will be next year or the year after that.

Wenger mentioned before that he is using his reserve team and younger players to play in the Carling Cup and FA Cup. This is to help them gain experiences. Walcott has been constantly featured in those as part of his promise to the younger players. Walcott needs to grow and develop fast and he has to come to face to face the ups and downs of the game. This is one way of training players so that they will not think they will always have just good games and not bad ones. Bolton is a Premier League opponents, and by playing him over the whole match, will help develop Walcott further as he has few chances this season to play in the first team squad. If Walcott is able to excel in the replay against Bolton, it will signify that he will be ready for first team squad soon.

To give him more experience but I think he should let Walcoltt train with the attacking midfielders during Practice Sessions so Walcott will more comfortable playing out front and will know the tactics better

wneger probally wanted him to play to more games so he become btter but his the best young talent in the england and one of the best young talents in the football world
