my microsoft word must have this setting on where there are certain characters during my writing. like there is a p that shows when to start a paragraph, and dots where there are spaces. how can i fix my setting back to normal. thanks!!!!

Go to "tools", "otpions", "views", "formatting marks" and uncheck all of the boxes.

Those characters wont show up when you print..they are just there to show you when a a paragraph starts and when there are spaces...the PP means paragraph and dots are spaces
On the the top, the same symbol should show up ..just click on that to take away those symbols...good luck

Try going into your Format screen where it says Paragraph & turn off the P.
Also sometimes there is an icon at the bottom of the screen that you can accidently hit that will cause the Paragraph icon to pop up.

There should be a button on one of your toolbars that looks like the fancy backwards P at the end of your paragraphs that will hide that stuff if you push the button (and turn it back on later if you want to see where your spaces are, etc.).

This is the formatting marks you are seeing, these can be switched on/off by click the button to the left of the percentage pull down. (looks like a reversed P "infilled" with a T)

Go to the menus at the top, and select View. Then choose Normal from the drop-down. Right now, you likely have it in draft. I hope this helps.

oh i no at the top of the page like where it has the settings such as bold and italic it has like a p (thats what ur seeing) just click on the p!!
