I love the name Makenna! My friend's mom just named her baby Makenna

Makenna is a GREAT name, and I prefer it over the popular McKenna. Makenna is African in origin, and means "Happiness". McKenna is a surname meaning "Son of Ken".

It's not uncommon, and it's not unique. She'll join the millions of other McKennas, McKenzies, Madisons and Madelyns in life.
Granted, I don't like names that are youneeek and off-the-wall, but as far as they go, Makenna is pretty boring.

I absolutely, positively love Makenna. I would have named my daughter this if our last name didn't start with "Mc". Kenna is also a cute nickname. This name is modern, adorable, but classy...I would say definately go for it.
