This question is a very serious one, one that the vast majority of people avoid facing, content to live their day to day lives. Everything you say is true about morale and deterioration. These are critical times. But I think more people are starting to open up their eyes, the question is, are they already too late? It is wonderful to see that people are beginning to actually write and question these things. Just dig and get past the mainstream media, especially Faux Tv... oops you call it Fox!

Rather than blunder around making a mash of things in my own words, I am sending you a series of educational but very interesting links to investigate. I have arranged them in a specific order for you to look at and I believe you will find many of your your answers there.

1. These are quotes from famous people whose names you will be very familiar with, regarding this very topic. Winston Churchill, Kissinger, various Presidents, etc. It is short and east to read. You might be a bit surprised at who says what! You also might be surprised to see that much of it is happening today.

2. Alex Jones is a rather radical newsman who cares about America. He has a site that you can get lost in for ages. However, his cartoon pages express many ideas and concepts that say it all. When you read his site, you still give praise for a certain amount of freedom of speech in North America. However, you can also see the power of the written word in action and understand how much it can threaten the status quo.

3. I do not know who these people are but these art galleries are absolutely amazing. They are full of political messages about who is running things and its results upon the American people. These are very elegant and well crafted pieces of art, not merely cartoons. I highly advise you look through it. You might find some good illustrations to back up your ideas.

4. This folder is very very long and can take years to go through. I would recommend that you just take a look and see the names interest you. The Disney Family? The Kennedy Family? European Royalty? I suggest you go straight to the Rothschild Family first. This is a gold mine of history that might shock but also open your eyes a bit to the very large scheme of things. Return to it to study in depth when you have some free time to just educate yourself.

5. The History Network and an hour long presentation on the American Government and its experiments in mind control on unknowing citizens. This programme has been aired several times.

6. This is a precise historical Google documentary, just a few moments long. I highly advise it for your research. It is hard hitting and serious and to the point.

To be honest, I don't need to say a word. Just go to these sites, check out the political commentary of these brilliant cartoons, and you will find many of the answers you seek.

We live in scary times in which the political elite are changing the world you and I live in radically. If nothing else, the war in Iraq is beginning to open the eyes of mainstream Americans. Please, do check these pages out.

I wish you well with your writing.

The people who ruin a country are everyone from sensationalized media to politicians to drug dealers and violent criminals. One thing about the media is that sensationalism reporting doom and gloom always sells more ratings than does a happy ever after story. That is why the media will occaisionally hesitate to tell you the happy side of the story in national or international news. This can give a "downer" feeling to the state of our country.

There are two psychological effects called the Rosenthal effect or the Pygmalion effect and the Self-Fullfilling Prophecy. The essential point of it is this: that people act the way they are expected to act. If people are told that the country is ruined, many will believe that it is and then respond to the country as if it is already ruined. When people respond as if it is already ruined, it actually helps to ruin the country. This is a very powerful social psychology concept.

It's naive to think the public runs a country. In (cynical) reality, the people behind the administration, the companies that have the biggest investment in the current "leader's" campaign are the ones who control the big decisions. Think of the arms manufacturers or Big Pharma. There will never not be war or disease because that is how those companies make their billions. As long as they're pulling the strings, the country is at their beck and call.

Someone is ruining the country, is that true? can you absolutly know that its true? How do you react when you think its true? Who would you be, in this moment, without that painful thought? and then turn it around to the oposite and see if that could be just as true. Welcome to the work!
