I've heard that people are having alot of problems with the ps3 such as glitching and freezing up. I'm looking for some opinions on why I should get one now or wait. I really want one but I don't want to deal with the problems that I've heard about. Thanks!

The only reason you're hearing about all these problems is because only people that have problems are reporting it. If they're not having problems, they're not going to report it.

I have a PS3 since launch, and so far, no problems.

Personally, I think a lot of the people that are reporting errors are nothing more than 360 and Wii fanboys.

If there were that many errors, don't you think Sony would have recall the PS3 and remedy the problem? And why hasn't there been a massive lawsuit against Sony if the PS3 is faulty by design.

I believe that it is acceptable for 3 to 5% of the PS3 to be defective, so you really have to be unlucky to be in that 3 to 5% range.

If you want the PS3 now, go ahead and buy it. Odds are that you won't get a defective one.

Personally, I would wait it out until there are more games available before shelling out 600 bucks. In the meantime, put the 600 in a savings account, like ING, and let it collect interest. It kind of sucks playing 1 game for several months.

I say that you should wait a few more months, the ps3 doesnt really have very great games out right now expect for Resistance: Fall of Man. Wait untill E3 and then decide. If you cant wait then get a Xbox 360. there is alot of great games on it and playing online is fun. But then again if you really want a ps3 wait for the price drop and more games.

Wait for it, Sony is really ruining themselves now and to spend 500 or 600 dollars on a system that holds nothing but one exclusive game is a grand rip off. In fact, now there is word out about Devil May Cry going over to the Xbox 360. The PS3 holds no exclusive titles, only one I think of now is Metal Gear Solid 4, but that is a ways off now and I still hope the PS3 is still around because that will be my main reason of buying it. For now I am content with spending 400 on my Xbox 360 and waiting to see how the PS3 future folds out. I hope well, because if PS3 bombs it takes Sony with it. With the PS3 still being a launch title it may still have some bugs and problems, but by now this is almost Feb. it came out in Nov., Sony should have fixed it all by now and get their crap together. The Wii is doing excellent and came out days after Sony did. Sony is jsut hurting themselves of trying to incorporate Blu-Ray and all this other crap straying away from actual gaming. Save your money and see how Sony does, they already lost Grand Theft Auto and Assassin Creed to Microsoft for multi console when they should have been exclusive, Devil May Cry 4 possibly, so what is the point of buying the PS3 when you can save more money with Microsoft and still have a trustworthy machine?

I'd wait. They are too technical for most. I'd get an XBox 360 if you want one now. If you can wait just wait

Yes, you should. Not only will there be many bug fixes later on, but also the price will go down a lot.
