When asked for your......?

opinion.....do you give it or do you tell them what they want to hear?

I always tell people my true opinion.

Sometimes the truth hurts but I'd rather hear the truth than be lied too.

Boy that is tricky one, when it your significant other well then you tell them what they want to hear (not lie but twist the truth a little) when it a friend/good/best: you many want to lie or just be straight up with them depends on what is happening when they ask, with some one you have none maybe a yr. or just an acquaints well then when in ROME give your opinion.

I try to give them my opinion...but most of the time I'll tell them what they might want to hear.

I give it to them, I don't believe in telling people just what they want to hear.

I try to give my honest opinion most times unless the person who asks might resort to violence against me, then I say what they want to hear.

Depends on what they ask me about. But if asked for my opinion on something they might not like my answer to, I ask them if they're sure they want my opinion, or would they rather I lie to them. Then they usually just tell me, "that's okay, forget it"

This comes from my father. "My opinion is going to cost you exactly what it is worth, nothing". I just tell them (depending on the person) enough to stop the asking. I find that it really doesn't matter what you suggest they usually have it all figured out already.
