i have a box of 50-100 live crickets to feed my 2 turtles, they need 2-3 each as a meal. is there any way i could get them in the tank without touching them? the box is very small so its awkward without them escaping

1. There are not a lot of turtles that can or will eat a lot of crickets. Box turtles are the most likely.

2. Crickets can and will gnaw other animals if they are not eaten, so only let a couple in the tank at a time.

3. One trick some people use is to simply put the container in the turtle cage and barely open it. Once a few have gotten out, you reclose the box and take it out.

The fancy version of this is to connect the cricket box to the main tank with a short tunnel that has a trap door on it. Open the door to let food in, then close it when they are fed.

4. If you bought that many, you may as well think about breeding them.

how about just putting them all in the tank with the turtles. (Or try by putting say 10 in and see if the turtles eat them all at once or only as they get hungry. I'd bet they will only eat what they need)
Of course then you have the problem of the crickets escaping when you clean the turtle cage, etc.
You could put the box into the tank, let a few escape and then remove the box and close the tank lid.

Get a bag that is long and skinny, like the ones they give you fish in. Put one end in with turtles, the other end of the bag goes over the opening on the cricket box. tap the box till you get as many as you need. Then take bag off box end squeezing it shut.Shake any extra crickets into the cage, close the cage and the cricket box and you have just transfered your crickets without touching them.

Use tweezers to feed them, get one out at a time, or try and use chopsticks? I know it sounds cruel but you could break the crickets heads and leave them in the water for them to eat. Cruel but thats what they were made for
