I agree unless someone says something inflammatory, insulting, or mean/hateful. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. If someone says, "You're stupid," are you just going to let it slide? Are you just supposed to be a whipping boy, a doormat for bullies to dump on? I think not. What goes around comes around. Yes, you can choose to ignore it, but some people need to be put in their place.

Maybe just a little. With something like this kind of forum you are bound to have some jerks that have such a low self esteem that they fell the need to insult other people to make themselves feel better....just ignore 'em....

I say "So what....do as the moment dictates...one size does not fit all....so often being nice in return to a jerk is the most stupid thing that you can do, it is like handling over your money to someone who panhandles fora living because you cannot say no...Of course it makes sense to not say anything rude on the basis of karma, but face it the world is not a nice or unsavage place yet, so bide your time and keep your tongue ready to lash out to protect yourself as often your mind is your most valuable weapon!!!!

I try my best to not say anything. I'm trying to cooperate on the quote 'You Can Say Anything Without Opening Your Mouth', which has done me some good.

I agree with that, but there are times when it is necessary to say something that isn't quite nice to get through to a person.

No.. I disagree.. If you really want to stand up for your rights then you have to confront people. If you want to get across what htey are doing wrong to others in a less nice way, you should do it anyway..

Seems like the only way some people have to get their own hurt out is to inflict it on others. It sucks.
