Spotting Audrey the new editor on Millsberry?

A few questions, please.
Can you only "spot" Audrey once a day? I'm assuming so, but I'd rather be sure.
Are the gifts determined at random? All I'm getting are press hats and reporter's journals. I really want a Gazette article for my wall.
What is the fifth gift she is holding on the main page? I know she's giving out hats, journals, pens, and articles, but what is the blue thing she's holding?

To answer your questions in order:

1. Yes, you can spot her only once per day. Our millsberry fan group tried very hard to spot her more than once and with over 5000 members I'm sure if it was possible then someone would have done that.
2. Yes, gifts are determined at random. Although it does seem random because there are far more hats and pens given than anything else. The gifts seem to be given in this order of frequency (with the most frequent first) Press Hat, Gazette Pen, Reporter's Notebook, Framed Article, Voice Recorder
3. The 5th gift that she is holding is a Voice Recorder. It seems to be the hardest gift to get of all 5.
