Leopard will be much better because it is a couples ahead of Vista and can do so much more. If you get a Mac with Leopard you can run MAC OS X, Linux, and Windows but you will only be able to run windows and linux on a PC. So get a MAC with Leopard.

Hello answerer,
Well, as you know, Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) hasn't been released yet. I'm using Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4.8), and it is pretty darned good. There might be some nice hardware updates in that time too, so that is an excellent option. You can go for the speed or buy up the older Macintosh computers at an excellent price.
The same with Vista. If you waited, maybe Microsoft could work out some of the early bugs out of it. So it's a win-win situation no matter what you choose to do.
Naturally, I'm a Mac guy so I recommend you going with a Mac. I love Mac OS X; no viruses, very secure, lots of new software, and some neat new hardware stuff just around the corner.
Best of luck to you, what ever you choose.

Dont go to a PC Store like a Comp USA to play with a mac go to an actual Apple Store. Also Vista might look nice and pretty but really it's a chep rip-off of Mac OS X. So I would suggest waiting until Leopard comes out then go to an Apple Store and play with Lepoard then go to a PC store and play with Vista. I think you'll be surprised at how superior th Mac OS is.

Get the Apple. From what I heard, some people were successful in installing Vista in a Intel Core Duo Mac, using Boot Camp.

Its up to you really. I'd suggest going to a PC store and having a good play with a Mac. If it feels right then embrace the alternative to the evil Microsoft empire and purchase.
My friend is an IT technicial and they've just given him one at work. He hardly touched the things until then but now he's Mac mad!
