I have a spirit week at school and one of the days is 1980s day. Did they wear things like leg warmers, leggings, converse, band T's, big hair? HELP!

Definitely leg warmers. Let's see, big hair, big gold earrings,big, gold rope necklaces, opaque stockings(tights), converses, leather bombers(jackets), head bands, fingerless lace gloves, lace head bands, short leather skirts, pumps, etc.

Just like now, you can't mix and match 80's styles. You can either go valley girl/ preppy with big hair (over-styled bangs) polo shirt, tight, tapered jeans, lots of bangles and BIG earrings. Or you can go Jennifer Beals in Flashdance with the sweater showing one shoulder. Or you can do Madonna punk with the black hat, fingerless gloves, ripped jeans and leather jackets.

hair parted in the middle for both women and men - it was so popular - you don't see it like that much anymore
