there's fair skin, tan skin, and dark skin
then there's girls who go tanning salons or hit the beach just for the sake of a tan, and girls who don't tan and burn instead, and there's girls who are naturally tan.
just out of curiosity, do you care how tan a chick is?

Im female, and im sorry im stepping into a question for the blokes... i just wanted to throw this in quickly...
...i dont think it matters on natural skin tone... what matters (i think) is whether they make the effort to get fake tan, and how well it comes out (ie, how much money.time they spend on it)
So what im really trying to say, is that blokes can detect roughly how well a "chick" looks after herself (for example, the myth that men can tell how well shaven/waxed a woman is downstairs by looking at how groomed her eyebrows are) and i think some blokes, if not most, prefer women who take good care of their looks and maintain themselves well.
Thats my input...
But gals, please dont over-do it on the sunbed, orange isnt a good colour for the skin, and itll never be in fashion... ;)

I think its hot when a girl has little tan on, not a big fan of pale skin though.

personally. i think people who go to tanning booths in the summer are re todd id...and in the winter just looks funny. some people can pull it off. but I belive they make money off the people who think they look wicked awesome....stupid
