Specification - Transm Capacity 8 4/5 Quarts

**WARNING** this is the approximate amount of fluid needed for a total refill when rebuilding transmission (May require 1-2 additional quarts to top off)
(1) add fluid, then with engine at operatingtemperature, shift through all gears.
(2) place in park.
(3) check fluid with dipstick and add as needed.

there are 4 distinctive tranny's for this motor vehicle. the authentic finished fluid potential for all 4 selection from 8.5-9.2 quarts. To accurately examine trans fluid, get motor vehicle and trans warmed up. Pull the dipstick with motor vehicle working and in park. in many situations, the crosshatch marks on the dipstick is comparable to approximately one quart of fluid. upload fluid intently, because you have issues in case you overfill, and it extremely is a discomfort interior the rear to empty in case you do overfill. i could advise a small container (8oz) of friction modifier additive to help the chemical makeup of the fluid, or do an entire provider on the trans.

That all depends on what you drained.
Just the pan?
The pan and valve body?
The torque converter?
The pump?
Did you replace the filter?
