Are you certain it's restricted? I don't think it is. Its unusual to find restricted 125's there are only a few that are. I think you'll probably find its going about as fast as it is likely to go. Kymco's aren't known for their speed. If you want to go quicker you may have to sell it & get something else.

most scooters have a piece of metal just before the carboretta, its usually quite easy to take out, although this can make it harder to start the bike coz it floods the engine.. it works fine in my 50cc scooter though.

if its fuel injected, its probably a ring in the exhaust, but im not that sure coz my scooter has a carboratta.

by doing so you will loose back pressure and engine will run poorly
