Sometimes the director and/or producer has a vision of how they think the movies will turn out..sometimes there has been a public outcry for a better up to date version...sometimes the director and/or producers did too much coke at the party and didn't realize what they had done

They make remakes just to show us that they can transform a classic into a worthless movie.
Greedy and idiotic producers think this a good way to show the word how they make movies without the need of talent.

but most dont.
one movie i wish they would finally get done (been in the works for 6 years)
