Im making a dance team and need to know what guidlines to make. And maybe some cute dance costume websites.

Well it depends on the type of dancing. If you email me the details i could be a better help. but so far
1.break the group up into smaller groups and test them with a routine. make up a routine. show the however many times you think they need to see. depending on how serious it is. i would say show them twice.
2. have everyone come up wth their own 30 second routine. to see what the have to offer. you can give them a selection to choose from or let them choose on their own.
3.also you can do a background check and make sure they are rigt for the team.

If you are making a dance team, have a schedule ready before auditions so that the auditionees will be able to make sure they have enought ime to commit to the team. Many dancers dance 5+ days a week at their studios.
Make sure everyone ALWAYS wears proper dance attire. aka: no long pants, etc. This helps keep practice sane.
And HAVE FUN! That is the most important.

perhaps the fastest way to get your dance team up and running is to check out dance studios and instructors for group instruction or advice on modern jazz or ballroom dancing. ask their advice on styles and dance wear/ suppliers for ensembles. also ask them if they would be interested in acting as an advisor. they can help you with choosing dance styles, costumes/ shoe suppliers and choreography. also use your search engine for researching costume suppliers for dance wear. also check out the american ballroom association, and the american dance institute.
