He is one lucky puppy!!! Guinness Book of Records should at least give him a mention for breaking land speed record at 314mph! I'm sure he'd have done a run the other way if his car wasn't so badly...er....scratched! The Boys are back in town!!!

I cannot believe the Irony of what was said in the run up.
Hammond - "What are you doing?"
Safety man - "Strapping your arm in so they won't fly out if it goes upside down"
Hammond - "I don't want to go upside down!""

Mad wasn't it! Poor lad! Apparently they changed the helmet at the last minute and thats what saved him, he came with his own helmet and they wouldn't let him in the car with it, the one he wore was about £600.

It was unbelievable. I shed a tear or two when they welcomed him to the show. But then Im a girlie so thats ok!

that was so scary to watch that, he is so lucky and i feel so sorry for him did you see his face after every one watched it he looked really upset.i think he only showed that to everyone so that it can be left alone and he can try and put it behind him and i dont blame him but noone will forget for another couple of months
