"Moneys" is appropriate if we're talking about more than one type of money. For instance, let's say that I wanted to open a bank account with funds drawn from a personal savings account in US dollars, some T-bills bought at a municipal fundraiser, and some bearer bonds. It would be correct to refer to the funds used for the investment as "moneys".

It's kind of like when you use "peoples" instead of "people"--"moneys" is for multiple groups of money, for example:

The combined moneys of Europe were worth less after WWII.

It can also be spelled "monies".

we would say it, as in, "can we transfer the monies for that account"
Its just an different way to say it, thats all.
