I would recommend it unreservedly, except...
In places it is unnecessarily harsh and bitter in tone.
This may not greatly worry those already convinced in their atheism, but is likely to spoil its effectiveness in communicating to all the other people with an interest in the question, who might have been more open to the arguments if they had been framed in a more measured piece of work.

It's an outstanding book. It asks questions of religion without deference, that is with the direct appeal for evidence that you'd ask of any other belief system.
Everyone should read it.

It is an excellent, thought provoking book and should be read by everyone. Unfortunately, those for whom it will do the most good are the least likely to read it.

I've heard it's essentially aimed at the Atheist camp. Anyone who agrees will love it, disagrees will hate it. That said, I intend on picking it up soon.

I read it and loved it, it was truthful and witty, and made me laugh out loud, on several occasion, but made complete sense. Try to counter his arguements!
