I don't really see why she would be popular. Please help explaining.

I am not a huge fan of Avril, but there are some good things that can be said about her:
She writes her own songs. (Unlike many pop stars)
She is loyal to her supporting band. (She won't tour with any other band)
She doesn't perform on stage half-naked and act like a skank in order to "make it." (Unlike Britney and Christina)
She is set in her own ways and won't change to appease the crowd or media.
So, maybe her music isn't exactly my taste, but as a person and a performer, she really isn't so bad, especially in comparison to some other mainstream pop stars.

She is a musical artist that appeals to many people, due to their tastes and likings of certain artists. I am not a fan of her myself, but I suppose that there are many people out there that still do, putting her in the spotlight five more minutes. She has kind of just hung around as a celebrity, not releasing many other albulms since her big hit-"Complicated". Her behavior is another critical issue to her controversial popularity. She behaves like a wild child, in a rude manner. But some people still enjoy Avril Lavigne.

Maybe you don't like her but lots do. I think she's talented and I enjoy some of her songs, although I don't rate her in the best 50 female singers I've heard.

I like Avril and her music. She is talented and does what she wants. I have all her CDs and can't wait for her new one to come out.

I think she's a very good role model and she has good music.
she also is pretty.
but thats just my opinion.

I LOVE HER VERY MUCH.SHE`S NOT VERY GOOD LOOKING,BUT I LIKE HER LOOKING ON THE WORLD,I MEAN HER CARACTER.SHE`S MY IDOL AND SHE`NICE.
