I have been a Celtics fan since I was 5 years old. I don't know about you, but it seems like the team has been absolute **** the past two decades. A team that has arguably one of the most prolific histories in all of world sport has been somewhat if not entirely mediocre year in-year out. This season might be the worst the Celtics have had since the 96-97 squad who posted the worst record in franchise history. As a Celtics fan, I think I speak for a lot of fans out there when I say: is somebody profiting off of the team falling far short most if not every year? It makes me think of Major League the movie and that Danny Ainge and the team's owners are like that terrible chick who murders the owner and inherits the team and makes them purposely bad so she can move them and make a huge profit off of it. I swear there is somebody making big on this. What do you think?

The Celtics are very, very young right now. Danny Ainge is a smart GM and knows what he is doing. He has been doing his best to get some young talented playes with great potential. Look at Al Jefferson, he has improved alot and will be better next year. Also, Delonte West has taken strides and rookies Ray and Rondo, especially Rondo, will make nice NBA careers. Tony Allen has also played well when he isn't hurt. You could say they are building the team around Pierce, but Pierce is getting close to his prime years being up and they will need to look at someone else. This years draft will be one of the best in NBA history and the Celtics would love to have a shot to get Greg Oden or Kevin Durant(these guys will turn a franchise around within 2 years). Just be patient, look at the Mavericks they used to suck, but they slowly improved every year and are now looking to go back to the Finals.

It's tough to re-load with players when you don't finish at the bottom of the league. The Celtics usually make or just miss the playooff so they don't get a crack at the best players. That said management can make huge profits if they stop paying expensive players and the fans keep coming.
Thier best hope is to tank this year with the injuries and get a top pick in the lottery. That way they will have something to build around and might bounce back quickly if Paul Pierce et al come back strong from thier injuries.
If they wan the team to improve, Boston fans should stop going to the games so management gets the message that the fans arn't suckers and they need to improve the team if they want to make some money.
