Men have been the dominant gender in most world cultures for centuries, and have come to mistake the benefits of experience and favoritism for inherent ability. The power men have come to appreciate can be addictive for some, and they will go to any end to ensure they retain it from those they view as upstart usurpers.
Whether women can actually be as good as a man at anything a man can do is debatable, and personally I believe each gender has, in addition to its shared abilities, strengths and weaknesses unique to its own group. But more importantly, I believe people should worry less about who does what better, and decide for themselves what is important to them on a personal level and set aside the need to prove themselves in a gender context. We're all human, and "should" be on the same side. What goals we choose for ourselves during out short lifetimes should be based on what we care about, what drives us, whatever that might be. People of all genders, be they male, female, or hermaphroditic, deserve to follow their dreams. It is why we were born in the first place.
I'm not a great martial artist, and probably never will be. I have asthma, terrible balance, a bad hip, and my eyesight isn't that great either, but I still enjoy it, and that's what's important. I also suck at billiards, but I love that too, just as much as I enjoy the things I am good at, such as music, art, and writing. It's silly to get all bent out of shape over one gender or another wanting to do something generally viewed as gender specific. If a girl wants to try to pee her name in the snow, more power to her, I say. Whatever helps you enjoy life.

I don't personally think I'm superior to women. There are some women over whom I can claim some slight advantage. For example, it is to my advantage that I know the difference between "their" and "they're."
Not an enormous advantage, but one of which I'm rather proud.
On the other hand, there are women who outstrip my feeble efforts with awe-inspiring ease.
