A friend and I (girls) want to plan a trip in late march - I've confused myself with looking at too many travel sites. Can anyone suggest a nice hotel they have stayed at. Also what sort of prices are the excursions and what is the best way to see more - like Cairo and Luxor - any recommendations welcomed! We are going for 7 days. THANKS!

Grand Resort or Grand hotel .. excursions in Hurghada starts from 20 U$D to 100 . Best to visit Luxor and Aswan in a Nile Cruise tour for 5 days starting form Luxor.
You can make Luxor over day from Hurghada but the cruise is a dream tour. You can go to Cairo from Hurghada in 1 day or overnight, but I don't recommend any over day or overnight trips unless you are not coming back to Egypt.
The best now is to go to Hurghada and make a sea trip then later in another tour you come to Cairo make 2 days or 3 days tour then travel to Luxor to take the Nile Cruise from there for 5 days (all visits are included in the way from Luxor to Aswan)

Cairo is among the world's good megacities. As wonderful because it is crazy, and as rich in old finery since it is half dilapidated, Cairo is commonly an area that individuals enjoy and hate in equal measures so learn by which band you will be with assistance from this place hotelbye . In Cairo you may find, beyond the current hubbub, a history that spans centuries. Filled with vigour, Cairo is where you actually get a feel for Egyptian street living and no visit to Egypt is total without a stay in the town Arabs contact Umm al-Dunya (The Mother of the World). The absolutely staggering collection of antiquities displayed in Cairo's Egyptian Museum makes it one of many world's good museums and definitely a place for everyone's to visit.

Me and my better 0.5 stayed on the Marriot Mountain area inn which became a 5 minute walk by ability of the line to the sea coast. We saved about £six hundred on a 2 week stay through staying on the Mountain area compared to the sea coast area and the inn became plenty quieter (a lot less little ones and loud song) and the workers regarded more desirable pleasant.
