It’s about a young girl whose drawings come to life. She has a friend (young boy) who is in a wheelchair because his legs are weighed down. I think he has an abusive father. And in the end he’s really asleep and she is trying to get him out of his dream world…or something like that.
Saw this movie once when I was little and never could find out the name. Does this movie sound familiar to anyone?

i think you're talking about the movie Paperhouse, but i'm not sure i haven't actually seen the movie.

It's called Paperhouse. Made is 1989. Don't know if its available on DVD or not but you should be able to find out more about it on imdb.com

Yes I remenber it, It' not Jumanji as someone posted. It's Paperhouse (1988) . It's availeble on DVD, so you can buy it online, or ask your local video rental or sale store if they can order it for you.
