Nope. I don't mess with my body like that. It can't be good for you in the long run.

Absolutely, if only I could...I have had cervical cancer... My daughters will definitely be having the vaccine as I hope will all my nieces and friends daughters. I am currently campaigning along with other ladies from the cervical cancer charity www.jotrust.co.uk for the government to to implement a national vaccination programme available on the nhs as soon as possible without delay... over 3,000 women are diagnosed in the uk alone of those 1200 will die that's almost three a day... this vaccine wil go a long way in reducing those numbers....

I urge everyone to take the opportunity, if you can, of having this vaccine, a protection against a virus that can cause cancer I would also urge all ladies to attend your smears/pap they can save your life by detecting the cell changes that happen pre- cancer .

No I won't for many reasons. I'm married-and plan to stay that way. Second, I've read the reactions here http://www.medalerts.org/vaersdb/findfield.php?LOWAGE=&HIGHAGE=&SEX=&STATE=&PRIOR_VAX=&VAX_DATE_LOW=&VAX_DATE_HIGH=&CUR_ILL=&VAX=HPV4&VAXDOSE=&VAXMAN=&VAXROUTE=&VAXLOT=&VAXSITE=&ONSET_DATE_LOW=&ONSET_DATE_HIGH=&REPORT_DATE_LOW=&REPORT_DATE_HIGH=&SYMPTOMS=&HISTORY=&L_THREAT=&ER_VISIT=&DIED=&HOSPITAL=&DEATH_DATE_LOW=&DEATH_DATE_HIGH=&X_STAY=&RECOVD=&LAB_DATA=&DISABLE=&OTHER_MEDS=&V_ADMINBY=&V_FUNDBY=&PAGENO=1&PERPAGE=10
Third, it's not for every strain of hpv. My sister had cervical cancer from hpv (caught it from ex husband too) and she won't vaccinate her daughter for it either. This vaccine hasn't been on the market that long. Anyone remember Vioxx? It was made by the same company and killed people before it was pulled off the market. We use common sense and teach our children about safe sex. It's just being pushed now with commercials to make money.
Also I think it's b.s. that they are trying to make it mandatory for girls but won't come out with it for boys yet. They are testing it for boys but one would think they'd try to "wipe" it all out at once and vaccinate all children. That's right they are recommending it to 9 year olds!

Yes if I could, but I had early stages cervical cancer from HPV and I had to have hysterectomy. My husband gave it to me. Plus other things. Now I'm divorced and not sexually active.

Yes, I would considering I was just diagnosed with cervical dysplasia. Thank goodness it wasn't HPV or cancer, but it sure scared me!

Yes if you have multiple sex partners. But the vaccine only protects agains 4 types of the virus, and it has not been on the market long enough to be able to tell the long term effects of getting it. Women and young girls would not have to worry about this if they used common sense and used protection, or better yet, did not have multiple sex partners.

You also have to remember that viruses mutate, and this is no guarantee that it will protect you.

In a heartbeat. It's also effective for males too - since HPV is a sexually transmitted disease and it prevents the male from being a carrier.

I am. Once I heard about it, I knew I wanted it as cancer runs in my family. And my mom was like trying to have a big conversation about it and trying to convince me to get it. After I was like, Mom I've wanted to get it since I heard about it. It was funny to see her face.
