Well if a medicine can tell you not to take it while working (operating heavy machinery, etc), then i suppose it could go the other way around. It probably depends on the situation, how important the prescription is to your health, and if you are able to do your job safely and adequately while taking the medication.

It depends on what medication you are taking. For example, if you are taking a prescription drug that makes you sleepy and you work with machinery, I believe that your employer can tell you not to take that medication or to speak with your physician about changing your medication to something that does not put your life in jeopardy or the life of others that you work with.

Yes, if you are operating equipment or machinery, or if it alters your mood or behavior. If that is the case should be on short-term disability until you are titrated to a long-term med or are done with your treatment.

Yes, if the medication will make you drowsy and sleepy and thus unable to perform your job, especially if it's a safety issue or involves driving.

I don't know that they can prevent you from taking the medication
while working; but depending on your profession, they can tell you that you can't work while taking it! Safety precautions, insurance and such.
