the most famous one of all. islareal and palestine. how ever palestine is not currently on the us world map. according to america there is only israel.
the conflict started when the jews were being killed by hitler. the west and america of corse fought to free the jews from nazi opression. as you know jews were forced to relocate to different countries. some all over europe, others america, others sub sahara well you get the point. the zionist regime started up during this error. stating that the jews need a country of their own to stop all the religious persecutions jews have faced since their exile from israel over a thousand years ago. the british had control of the gulf region at the time. so what happened is jewish people started to flow into palestine. then when the jews started buildingg up their population the american created united nation decided to hand palestine over to the jews and hense we now have (israel) now here is where the conflict comes in. the palestinians were inhabitnents of this land. with the fall of the ottoman empire the muslims were not powerful enough to fight for their land and kick out the jews. in the beginning jews were welcomed into palestine but once the motions were set into place to hand over israel to the jews this is when the fighting began. there is the famous 6 day war. egypt and other arab countries were planning to attack israel and hand the land over to the palestinians once again but jordan and saudi arabia made the jews aware of what was comming and britian and america came to the rescue. this was in 1967. now the conflict is still going on because muslims, jews, and christians believe israel/palestine to be the holy land. the region where the three great faiths were born. conflict goes back against jews since the beginning of the religion. first it was the egyptians during the time of the pharo, then it was between christians and jews. then there came muslims. the jews were exiled from israel because according to the torah and bible they commited a sin of worshipping the golden calf instead of god. their punishment is said to be exile warented by god. then when the christians came there was a fight for the land and the christians had won. with the comming of islam the christians and muslims had fought and the muslims beat the christians and it had been their land since. as of an argument on whos land it is this dates back to the time of abraham. peace be upon him. abraham also called the father of israel was a prophet. he had two sons. god had promised that god would make great nations out of both his sons. the jews and christians believe that isaq is the father to their religion and muslims believe that ishmiel is the father to the arabic race. (the muslims) this is a religious war on both sides. the jews claim it to be their land from their own RELIGIOUS rights. so don't the muslims. remember prophet muhammud peace be upon him did in fact come from ishmiel which was the oldest son of abraham. (remember the story of hagar who was sent to the desert with her son and cried beliving that her and her son was going to die and a well was produced by god. which in modern day is known as the zamzam well. they drank the water and were able to live. the jews believe that ishmiel was the illegitimate son of abraham. muslims believe this is wrong because after all a prophet was a man of god and more then one wife was allowed during those times so a man of god would not have sexual intercorse with a woman and have a bastard child. according to the bible and the torah sarah told abraham to have a child with hagar. according to the torah there is something called the rights of the FIRST BORN. this means ishmiel peace be upon him. it was ishmiels inheretnce that made him the lawful owner to palestine/israel.
2. there is also that covernent between abraham and god that stated god would promise to make a great nation out of BOTH of hus sons. this includes ishmiel as well as isaq. all prophets trace back to isaq in the bible. not much was mentioned of him later on. this is true for the torah as well. muslims believe that it is muslim land. these people inhabited the land during the time of the jews before the dawn of islam and remained there into moddern day. muslims believe that not only are they being persecuted by the west for being a terrorists and a bunch of religious extremeists but they believe the west is most hipocraitical because the same rule applies for the jews, zionist, and christians as well. like i stated above jews are just as much religious fanatics because they are smack in the middle of the muslim world which they themselves have declared the enemy, and they refuse to leave because they feel it is their religious right to the land.
it would be like the native americans comming back as well as the mexicans and kicking out all the modern day americans from their land. it would not happen and the government would crush these people if they ever tried to do this. but instead of a couple hundered years compared to the jews who have been gone for over a thousand years. jews are welcomed to live in israel according to the muslims but they are not allowed to govern the land in the eyes of the muslims. since israels creation by the united nations muslims and jews have been fighting ever since for the holy land. religion is the opium of the people. this statement is beyond truth it is absolute conviction. this fight will never cease until one side is destroyed. there is a sect of judism called neuri karta who are orthodox jews who do not believe in the modern day state of israel because the promised messiah has not yet appeared. according to them from the torah jews are not allowed out of exile until the comming of this promised messiah. in the torah the jews are warned of the consequences if they take israel by force which has been done. feel free to look up this sect of judaism where they get into this. the fight worsens each and every day between the two countries because each side views it as their land. israel has violated many human rights and un resolutions and refuse to yeild. they refuse to give up the land that many feel is stolen. you can find several pages that show lists of human rights violatuions and broken un resolutions. feel free to look it up. i hope this did it for you. my sources for you to read you can see on the internet do a search called the choice volume 1 islam vs christianity which touches this subject and arab and jew conflict or conciliation also written by ahmad deedat. this answer is even more complex then what i have so far typed but that is an accurate short version.

This is a Conflict that is not highlighted as it should.
Media is not covering it as it should.
I found it interesting:

"" Syria, Jordan sign al-Yarmouk river water agreement
The report of the joint Syrian-Jordanian Committee on water was signed on Monday by Syrian Deputy Minister of Irrigation Barakat Hadid and the Jordanian side was led by the secretary general of the Jordanian Valley Authority, Dureid Mahasneh, SANA reported.

The committee discussed the cost of the al-Yarmouk Dam project in light of a new study presented by the Jordanian side, according to the 1998 price scale. The cost is estimated at US $300 million.

Following the signing ceremony, the Syrian minister said "As a joint committee we are careful about various steps that should be implemented, especially the project's feasibility study. He stressed the importance of setting up the dam at the Jordanian side of al-Yarmouk river as soon as possible and to find 'suitable financing'."

Mahasneh expressed hope that there will be full cooperation and coordination between the "two sisterly countries in the process of saving Jordan's water and Syria and Jordan's electrical energy."

Mahasneh said the Syrian side briefed the Jordanian side of its intention to set up a water filtration station in Daraa province and its surroundings. This means that by the time such a project is completed, no more pollutants will be in the river.

Mahasneh said "Syria has showed its readiness through its representatives at the joint water committee to reduce costs ... if Syrian public sector companies take part in the construction process."

Mahasneh expected the construction works will start in the project by the year 2000 after searching and securing financing in 1999.

The Conflict:
Jordanian information Minister Nasser Joudeh said the question of Jordanian detainees in Syria is not a new matter. "We have been following this matter through diplomatic channels for years. But the recent campaign on this issue was due to the media highlighting the matter."

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Jordanian daily al-Dostour, the Jordanian minister added "there are Jordanian detainees in Syria, whose number is increasing. We need a Syrian explanation in this regard. Where are those detainees, under what charges they were arrested, can their families visit them, and how were they tried?"

Replying to a question on what had been said by Jordanian official statements in that there are officials among the Jordanian detainees and Syrian statements that there are among the detainees "members of the Jordanian security," the Jordanian minister said "I have not heard of members of the Jordanian security members being among the detainees. I have only heard that there is a Syrian denial of the existence of Jordanian officials among the detainees.""
