There are hundreds of different fault codes that could be registered, causing the light to come on. Any of them is as likely as any other. So, you can either throw parts at it until you are blue in the face or you can have the PCM scanned, and if necessary have the code diagnosed by a mechanic to determine the cause and correct course of action for the cure.

Go to Autozone or another place that sells car parts in u area and they will put a little key in ur engine and it will tell them the problem on their computer,probably one of ur sensors is bad(check it out as soon as possible.)

generally the check engine light is to indicate there is a problem with your exhaust(i.e. bad or plugged catalytic convertor or muffler or bad oxygen sensors).
