I would not be mean and not let her make her own choice... I however am a Christian and would tell her and show her how this is wrong in the eyes of God and tell her that it is not the wisest decision... However I could not stop her and if she did marry the other woman i would accept it even though i personally would not agree to it.

What could I do? I figure if my daughter was happy, had a college education, and her partner treated her good, and respectful I guess I'd have to go along with it. BUT I wouldn't go along with anything if she wasn't an independant strong woman. I'd really forbid it if she were 16 and not really knowing what she wanted and still had things to accomplish in her life.

I wouldn't support her decision, but I would still love her and I would try to befriend her companion. Your relationship with your daughter is more important than agreeing with all her decisions.

I would just be happy that she found some who loves her and she loves them. The gender is almost secondary. The ability to love is the greatest gift we have to offer someone...especially unconditional love. It has been legal here in Canada for almost 3 years, even our "new" government tried to overturn gay marriage and they failed. It is just common place that you don't even notice anymore. There are so many other issues that need attention...not who is marrying or sleeping with who. Maybe one day the US will catch up to the rest of us.

It's 2007; we all know that homosexuals exist . If the woman is a good person, accept her. Put your daughter first.
