As in, can one become so starved for social needs that they will try to relate to anyone in any possible way, even if it's negative?

I knew of an old woman that would order away from home shopping just to have something to open, and to be able to see a delivery man. There are most definately socially starved people. Even if it is negative it is still an interaction.

Yes. Lonliness can do strange things to a person. For a lot of people, any attention is better than none at all. The feedback gives reassurance that you're still alive and able to have an effect on someone (good or bad).

100% true! It's from the lack of communication pretty much, so people will crave that attention anyway they can get it, watch any baby not getting enough attention at home, if the baby tries to get hugs and good love by doing good things and does not get any, it will start to do bad things just to get yelled at ... to feel important and/or to feel not so left out and alone

Yes: There are those of us that stay on our computers so long that we don't know if we should be going to bed or waking up. Our need for interaction with other humans can grow to be out of control.

Yep and its sad too. I've seen it some many times with people and its normally because they have some deep rooted issues within themselves and they're looking from validation from others.
