There are 3 ways to pick a jacket
6 ways to pick a shirt
and 4 ways to pick a skirt.

Number of possible outfits = 3*6*4 =72

The mathematical answer would be 72; however, we all know that not every skirt will go with every shirt. There is simply not enough information here to answer this question. What if one of your shirts was a floral print and you mixed it with a plaid skirt? Ewww! I cannot believe some of the people who answered "72" are women! I don't even want to think of the hideous combination that might come out of this fashion disaster of a math question...hehe.

If you're a woman, any number from zero upwards, depending on what goes with what. Obviously, this stupid question was set by a man, who thinks the answer is 3 * 6 * 4 = 72.
