I am stuck on a question...
It says 'John was hesitant to baptise Jesus;saying it should be Jesus that baptised him. Why did he think this? Who did he believe Jesus was?

Please help, I'm crap at religion!

John the Baptist knew that Jesus was the Messiah. He didn't feel worthy of even loosening his sandal strap.

he was worried Zeus would smote him
so Mercury got the Lama to do it for him
