It's normal, and I wax mine so it doesn't grow back darker.

Hey there, hairy belly! I had some hair on my stomach, too. I don't think most girls have this problem, so it's not "normal" to have belly hair, but it's not freakishly weird. There are plenty of girls with extra hair out there. (By the way, I assume you are talking about dark, noticeable hair, not just the fine peach fuzz that pretty much everyone has to a degree?)
To get rid of mine, I did a combo of laser hair removal and electrolysis. I did the laser thing first and it helped some, but the electrolysis was what really took care of the problem. A little bit painful but worth it! Much better than shaving if you can afford it, but if shaving's the only option, I say go for it!

i am with carlito. it is totally normal. Some woman are just more hairy than others. I come from a very hairy italian/greek family. and not just the light peach fuzz stuff. I have dark brown hair everywhere. I used to shave, but that makes me itch like mad as it grows. Then I tried creams like nair. Which was fine. have to be careful to not burn yourself. Then my doctor who does my laser hair removal procedure suggested I do my abs too. It is awesome. best thing I ever did. I don't feel weird wearing bikini now.
Also, as a quick note, shaving does not make your hair grow back thicker. I read on dermatology.about.com website that it is more like an optical illusion. you are bluntly cutting of the hair which grows more like a thin arrow. So you are giving them appearance that the hair is thicker than normal. It isn't. you still have one hair growing out of it.

No it isnt weird, but if u feel really conscious about it u shud shave it. But remember when u shave the hair grows back thicker and slightly longer so u would have to keep shaving it.
