I do the cleaning and cooking...mostly. My husband is very busy and often very tired, if it starts to get too much though, he is willoing to step in and take some of it off my hands.
If your husband won't help you, then I'd suggest you just stop...stop it all.
If you are working just as much as him then there is no reason why you both can't pitch in.

The divorce rate is already extremely high so not being able to cook and clean isn't really going to make much of a difference. I would find it very difficult to believe that you wouldn't know how to clean house, that is about as easy as putting on your shoes. I know from personal experience that it has a very serious effect on a marriage when one spouse or the other doesn't or in many cases won't cook and clean house. Face it, unless the person you are with enjoys living like a slob or pig the your relationship isn't going to work.

Can get around the cooking thing.........But a clean house doesn't take a lot of skill I mean I clean so it cant be hard. Most marriages end in divorce because of money problems, cheating,or after along time together simply falling out of love with that person.
Extra-marital affairs - 27% (29%)
Family strains - 18% (11%)
Emotional/physical abuse - 17% (10%)
Mid-life crisis - 13% (not in 2003 survey)
Addictions, e.g. alcoholism and gambling - 6% (5%)
Workaholism - 6% (5%)
According to this survey, men engaged in extra-marital affairs in 75% (55%) of cases; women in 25% (45%). In cases of family strain, women's families were the primary source of strain in 78%, compared to 22% of men's families.
Emotional and physical abuse were more evenly split, with women affected in 60% and men in 40% of cases. In 70% of workaholism-related divorces it was men who were the cause, and 30% women.

In the days of carry out, microwaves, and delivery, I would say there are a lot of women who were never taught how to cook. Even my wife only cooks meat for tacos and spaghetti. I cook three times more and better than any of the women I dated as well. Being a bachelor for many years I learned to cook, and do it well.
I believe there are other reasons for divorce, mostly selfishness and unwillingness to sacrifice for the need of the other.

Its not a matter of not knowing how, the issue is are you willing to put forth an effort. An effort to clean or an effort to learn to cook. The real question is, do you think your husband is worth putting forth an effort.... If the answer is no then the odds of a successful marriage are pretty low.

NOW NUMBER 1 WHY DON`T YOU KNOW HOW TO CLEAN THAT SHOULD COME NATURAL TO YOU. DON`T YOU KNOW HOW TO PICK UP A TOWEL AND CLEAN THE TABLE OFF OR SWEEP THE FLOOR. IT SOUNDS LIKE EITHER YOUR NOT ALL WITH IT OR YOUR BORED SO YOU CAME UP WITH A DUMB QUESTION. AS FAR AS COOK WHO CARES IF YOU DON`T KNOW HOW START WATCHING SOME OF THOSE COOKING SHOWS OR WATCH SOME OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS COOK. OR GO TO THE STORE AND BUY SOME SOME THING SIMPLE TO COOK AND GIVE THAT A TRY. LIKE RAMEN NOODLES BOILED WATER THROW THE NOODLES IN AND WAIT TILL THEY GET SOFT AND THEN PUT THE SEASON IN AND THEN PUT IT IN A BOWL AND EAT. DON`T KNOW ANYONE THAT BREAKS UP CUZ OF THAT.

Pretty low on the list.
Hire cleaners, learn to cook together, do the cooking for her -- no big whoop.
The bedroom is where things get dicey when there's problems. Forget lint on the mantle.

i doubt many. Let him cook you go out and make the $$$$ if you dont want to learn. or learn how to cook together. A marriage is based on love not food.

Are women on strike? How come women don't know how to cook anymore? Women still have to eat? Macaroni and Cheese or Chocolat isn't cooking!
All I know is you can get any man you want if you know how to cook. Any man....
A marriage is doomed if neither of them can cook. Doomed! j/k
I'm sure it adds stress to the relationship if a woman can't cook. Cause what if a man gets hurt and can't cook anymore (ex. stroke, heartattack)? Or what if a man gets sick?
Cooking is a basic skill that everyone should learn if they want to eat and stay healthy.
Both my parents know how to cook...
