What looks better ?

As a general rule .. tucked in is better.
but depends on venue and shirt.
A very few shirts look better out. Some of the Hawaiian shirts are cut that way. And often they are more comfie out.
So if the venue is casual and you think it looks alright go for it.

It depends on your style and body type. However,if U loose a shirt over trousers, that looks more casual than have it tucked into the trouser.
But if U tuck it, you should wear a nice belt too.

It depends on the occasion...if you are going somewhere formal (wedding, dinner), wear your shirt tucked in.
It can also depend on how long the shirt is and what style (button front, polo, t-shirt, etc) and what you are wearing it with.
As you have said a casual shirt, I will say loose. If however the shirt is rather long, tuck it in or you will look like a 12 year old.

Tucked in if your over 50. Anyone younger, it has to hang loose

Dinner with the girlfriend's parents, always tuck it in, otherwise, wear it loose.

personally i'd say slightly tucked in but draping over your top of your trousers, looks a lot better.
