My husband doesn't want to remarry either & we get along fine. He lives in his place & I live in mine, we see each other at family functions & talk periodically. Certain family & friends feel that we should get a divorce but I don't see why at this point. We were to-gether for 12 yrs before our seperation & filed for divorce but it never materialized because of circumstances & illness, What do you think?

If you both are happy with your arrangement, screw what other people think.

When either of you finally meet that certain someone in your life, you will get divorced. Love comes to all of us.

Right now you and your husband are friends which is fine. But, If either you or he should meet someone that you would like to share the rest of ur life with, you will finalize your divorce proceedings.

Good luck, and yes, stay friends with your ex....

I think it is a personal decision between you and your ex. When and if the time comes for a divorce to occur, then you cross that bridge, but if you both are content with things as they are, then who are you friends and family to judge?

At this point the only reason you may think about getting divorced is that if either of you die the other one will be responsible for any of their debts.

I think you should divorce, because if one of you get's heavily into debt and chooses to "bail" the other one will be responsible for paying off that debt. It could force one of you into bankruptcy while the other one walks away scot free.

Hon, you ARE still married, as everyone has told you so far. If you are both comfortable remaining separated, who cares?????????? That should be your concern, not a concern of your family. Whatever works for the two of you.

You're still married.

I have an aunt who never married, but has had a male companion for years. If it works for you and him, then that's all that matters.
