Midpoint is the same as the average.

So ( x0 + x1 ) / 2 = x midpoint
and ( y0 + y1 ) / 2 = y midpoint

Substitute in your numbers and solve for ( x1 , y1 ) the second endpoint.

use midpoint formula:

(x2-x1)/2=x
(y2-y1)/2=y

plug in the values you know--here you know the initial point and midpoint so here is what you get:
(2-x1)/2= -1
(6-y1)/2= 1
solve for x1 and y1 and theres your answer
it should come out to be (4,4)
