I am having a difficult time with memory on my computer lately. I do believe its certain programs that are running the background, but I do not know how to check. Please help!!

Task Manager. Press Ctrl-Alt-Del and select Task Manager, then look at the Processes tab.

If you're on a Windows computer, Ctrl-Alt-Del will bring up the Task Manager, allowing you to see what programs and processes are running. It will also show you how much of the CPU each process is using. The interface is less than friendly, so you may want to download Microsoft's Windows Defender. The interface is better, and it has some security features for your system.

I agree with ROSE D on how to see what's running, however I would like to add this link that allows you to enter a program name so you can find out WHAT the program is and what Main Program it is associated with........
