none, real bones aren't a good idea. you risk transmitting bacteria, having pieces splinter off in the gi tract, causing gi tract perforations and causing obstructions.

Do dogs should eat (swallow) bones. The sharp points can cause real damage.
Labs can chew on the same kind of bones that other dogs can.
Dogs should NEVER be fed chicken bones because they are too small and too easy to break.
Any bone that is big and strong, like a soup bone, should be okay, just watch him. If you see him breaking off a piece, then take it away.
Pet stores, and even Wallmart, have real bones that you can buy......some have "stuff" on them, and some are clean.

Beef and pork would be your best bet. Poultry bones tend to splinter a lot. As always though, when your dog is enjoying a bone keep an eye on them. When the bone becomes almost small enough to swallow you need to take it away.

Actually, as long as the bones are RAW it's fine. Both of my Pugs eat a prey-model raw diet and are super healthy...bones and all. It's a very common misconception that bones will splinter and puncture the stomach. If the bones are COOKED then yes, they're very dangerous. If they're RAW, they're still soft and won't splinter. Therefore they WILL NOT harm your dog.

If you want him to actually ingest the raw bones, stay away from large weight bearing ones...like femurs, etc. Anything that is sold as a recreational bone cannot be eaten. Raw ribs, raw chicken bones, raw bone-in pork chops are all fantastic. It's a great source of calcium and helps keep teeth beautifully clean!

If the bone is small enough to fit all the way inside the mouth, in any direction, it could be ha hazard. ABSOLUTELY NO chicken bones. Try to find beef bones etc. from your local pet store that are specifically labeled for large breed dogs.

They normaly should not eat any kind of animal bone unless they are big. Cow bones(beef) whould be an exception though. I would just stick to the kind you buy at the stores then you know they are safe for your pet.

Feeding dogs raw bones is not a good idea. NEVER feed chicken bones, they can lodge in their throat and kill your dog. Once my brother gave my dog a bone from a steak, and he almost choked on it. I had to pull it out of his mouth with my fingers. Instead of animal bones, feed your dog regular dog treats, or make your own dog treats. Here is a good website for dog treat recipes: http://www.animalsnackables.com/treatrecipes/dog-treat-recipes.html Just make sure there are no toxic ingredients in your home-made treats that can make your dog sick. Here is a list of foods that are toxic to dogs: http://mooreshaven.com/pets/dogs/safety/badfoodslist.html As always, be safe with your dog and don't feed him anything that is not healthy for him.

poultry bones can kill dogs because they splinter. i always gave my dogs beef and pork bones and they were fine. i don't think lamb would be a problem either.
