Some of us dont want to be comitted at the time (and yer forcing it aint gonna make any different)

Some of us just dont believe theres anything to it (divorce rate at 52% you figure it out.. I wish I could get that good odds on a lottery ticket or a horse race)

Some of us just dont like EVERY little thing about you and can see problems in the long term likely happening

Some of just dont like to be pressured & forced

Some of us are just happy with the way things are

Some of us dont for one second believe YOU would be committed if you ran into a little speed bump in life..

theres a few thoughts anyway

P.S. Oh and we dont wanna loose half our stuff if it dosent work out.. which stats say thats likely to happen more than not.

Because western society doesn't really promote marriage (besides a tax break). I mean, think about it. It doesn't matter if you're married or not. They're still gonna charge the both of you with no discount so what's the point? You might as well be separate. It doesn't really matter does it?

Also, we know that when women trap/court us into marriage, women change.

This is a generalization of course. Give us curfues. Pick out our friends. Sometimes the sexual relationship dies (except when she's ovulating of course). Worst of all... they try to change the man. You can't change a man, it drives him to leave.

WHAT!!Before you consider getting married or having a man committed relationship you might consider furthering your education. Reword this question it is far to confusing to give a good response. Not all people want to settle for someone they dont really want to be in a relationship with if it takes a man longer to find his soul mate I dont see a problem. Commitment come with being true to yourself and others.

I agree with wondering ...

People in general are afraid of true commitment because they don't want to give all of themselves. Yes, the men I've encountered have been disappointing too so I understand you.

There's nothing you can do if a man you're interested in won't commit.

He really doesn't have to....it's his right.

What you have to do is when you meet someone go very slow and find out what he wants out of life before you become involved with him.

There are no guarantees after you get married so take your time before you get married and find out what kind of person you're marrying.

It's not that they are afraid of the committment , it's that
they do not want to take on the responsibility of taking on
the committment as it is a big responsibility. However
some do as I have been married for 20yrs and always
want to be committed to my wife as her husband.

If you want to know why men don't want to marry, just look at most of women's answers in this site.

A woman shouldn't give sex if she's not in the mood.
A woman doesn't need to please her husband anymore.
A woman doesn't need to cook, clean or otherwise do chores.
A woman can claim "emotional abuse" and take her husband to the cleaners.
A woman has the right to cheat whenever she feels like it.

When women have only rights and no duties, and men have only duties and no rights, what's the benefit for a man in marriage, then?

I think people in general are afraid of commitment because they feel that they have to loose themselves in the relationship and also they have to compromise. People don't communicate and have unspoken expectations of their mate. If you go into a relationship expecting that it will fell, then guess what? Its going to fell.

The grass is always greener on the other side...I want to sow my wild oats...etc.
A lot of us just want to play the field. I have no better answer.
